The coconut is the fruit of a palm tree, called “cocotera”. This palm tree is characterized above all by its large size and being one of the most cultivated. Since it needs a warm and humid climate throughout the year, it tends to grow quite naturally in the coastal areas of tropical countries, highlighting Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia or India.
Coconut is a food rich in potassium and has a high amount of fiber. It is also a fruit rich in vitamin B and E, providing various mineral salts, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium to the body; helping the mineralization and strength of the bones.
