During the month of February, the students of this Master’s program were able to visit our facilities and learn how our colleagues work in the international expansion departments. At the same time, they were able to develop the proposal of what would later be their Master’s final project, about the international expansion of our company.
Calconut has been able to monitor their development with one of our freight forwarders, who has provided them with the necessary information for their work. In addition, they have been given solutions to any doubts that may have arisen.
The thesis of the project to be developed is based on Calconut’s industrial internationalization towards the Asian market. The students elaborated an analysis of the situation of the almond trade in China, Japan and South Korea, as well as the possible barriers. Finally, after evaluating the results, they chose South Korea for the development of their commercial marketing plan.
Last Tuesday, May 24, the project was presented at an event held at the University of Alicante, attended by Julia Bori García, Director of Operations, who has closely followed the work done by the students.
In addition, three people who participated in the Master in International Trade have recently joined Calconut’s staff.
We are happy to have been able to collaborate in this project, and to support the training and insertion of young talent.
